Amy + Alex {married}

Alex & Amy were married on July 21st, in Muscatine, Iowa. The church they were married in was deeply meaningful & sentimental for both of them. Alex had been a pastor there, and many women in Amy’s family had been married there (including her own Mom). This couple had so much love for each other. The whole day was full of close family & friends, lots of laughter and many tears. It was a pleasure to be a part of your big day Alex & Amy! Enjoy some previews of your wedding day 🙂

Amy had made these shoes with her class (she is an art teacher). They were so fun & different, love 🙂I love this picture of Amy! She was like this all day, bright and bubbly, smiling ear to ear 🙂Her bridesmaids were so cute, I think they kind of like Amy 😉Her Mom got so emotional upon seeing her in her dress & veil… so so sweet.TThere is a handkerchief that has been passed down for generations and generations and generations in Amy’s family. Each woman wears it on her wedding day. As they opened the box and read through all of the names of the women who had worn it before Amy, it was very moving.Yeah, yeah, I know I’ve already shown this image… I just couldn’t decide which I liked better!I love this next image because it wasn’t posed at all, this is a completely organic moment in a back room of the church right after the ceremony ended. I walked in just to find them basking in the glow of being newly married.They may be kind of excited to be married 😉Behind the couple in this image is an origami wall created entirely by the bride herself! It was SO cool, definitely a talking point at the reception. It consists of 3 colored sections: yellow to represent the bride, blue to represent the groom, and green to represent them coming together. Awesome, just awesome.One of my favorites from the day…
