Jessica + Ryan
I’m sure neither Jessica or Ryan could have guessed that a normal night at an unassuming barn party would be the night they’d meet their future spouse. However, some friends introduced them, and the rest is history.
“Home started being where he was.” – Jess
Ryan had been wanting to propose for awhile, but he said he finally got the courage when Jess’s Dad gave his blessing. Jess had always said she wanted a proposal that was intimate and heartfelt.
So, on Christmas morning, as the two of them sat opening their gifts, Ryan had a surprise in store. It was just the two of them and their dog. A perfectly quiet holiday morning.
As Jess reached the bottom of her stocking, she felt a tiny box. She got it out and opened it, just in time to see Ryan get down on one knee. He asked her to spend forever with him. Of course she said, Yes. Jess said it was, “a Christmas to remember, that’s for sure.”
Jess & Ryan’s Dubuque, Iowa Spring Engagement Session
Jess & Ryan wanted a laid-back and meaningful engagement session in Dubuque. We took a stroll through downtown Dubuque, in the Millwork District. Then after a quick outfit change, we were off to the Mines of Spain.
They popped a bottle of champagne given to them to celebrate their engagement, and watched a beautiful pink & purple sunset. What a beautiful way to kick off the last week of spring before summer made its official debut.
