While describing when she knew she wanted to spend forever with Jamie, Emily said, “…he has always felt like home.” Those words really hit me and I love the way she said that. What an amazing feeling, to find that sense of comfort in your partner. In this crazy world, finding that kind of peace & sense of solace in each other is what makes life worth living.
I was delighted to get to know these two a bit better during their engagement session. We started the session at Stone Cliff Winery in Dubuque. When it was time for an outfit change, I asked Emily if she wanted me to do a ring shot with her ring on a wine cork while they changed. She said, “I actually have the cork from the bottle that we celebrated our engagement with. It’s in the car.” Be still my super sentimental heart. 🙂 I was so excited! It turned out to be one of my favorite ring shots, be sure to check it out below. I’m ecstatic for the upcoming holiday weekend, and capturing Emily & Jamie’s “I do’s”. Happy Wedding Week you two!!
