It was a Monday, we were both off work and busy cleaning our apartment. I left to go pick something up at my friends place and she wanted to give me a manicure, we had been talking about it the day before shopping so I said sure! Matt was at home getting dinner ready and when I was done with my nails I stopped at the grocery store to pick up some garlic bread for dinner. By the time I walked back into our apartment, he had flowers on the counter and he was all dressed up, and on one knee in the kitchen with the ring in his hand and asked me to be his forever. After calling my parents and trying to call his with no luck of them answering, we ate dinner and then he told me to get ready to go out to celebrate. So I got cleaned up and we got to a restaurant in Iowa city that has a roof top bar and we walked upstairs to my mom, his mom, my best friend from dbq, and all our friends in Iowa city there for a surprise engagement party!

It was so fun to get to know Sarah & Matt during their engagement session! We decided to play on a Disney UP theme for the first part of the session, then ended with a beautiful sunset at the Birchwood Golf Course in Kieler, Wisconsin. They both love to watch Disney movies together & go golfing, so it was a blast to incorporate these things into their engagement photos! I can’t wait for their wedding this weekend!! 🙂
