Engagement sessions really help me to connect with my couples before their wedding day. It’s so great getting to know them on that level before the big day. As I read through Lindsay & Tiff’s questionnaire I knew we were meant to be – wedding photographer + couple in love. 😉 I mean seriously, they love Starbucks & The Walking Dead?! We’re definitely going to be friends.
Fast forward to the engagement session, I was taking some shots of Lindsay’s ring as they changed into their second outfits. I looked up as I hear them walking back through the snow only to see Tiff wearing a camo Detroit Lions hat. “No way! Are you a Lions fan?” Tiff told me she was, and is actually from Michigan. My husband is a die hard Lions fan, and you don’t find too many of those in Dubuque, Iowa. I always say that a Lions fan makes a good spouse because they are LOYAL. I mean seriously, you want someone who’s going to stick with you through the wins & the loses… pick a Lions fan. 😉 My husband kind of hates when I say this, but it’s a total compliment. So long story short, Lindsay + Tiff + Cat = Wedding Match Made in Heaven. 😉 But I digress, this is about their love story, so read below to hear a bit about that. 🙂
We created images for them that embody their relationship, what they love to do, & even where they came from. The hot cups of coffee they often drink together, the Winter snow that Tiff loves & Lindsay puts up with because she loves Tiff, the Mines of Spain where they love to walk their dog together, the frozen Mississippi – reminiscent of the frozen lakes Tiff goes ice fishing on at home. I loved this engagement session from start to finish, freezing fingers and all. 🙂

- Tiff: “She is a huge nerd when it comes to phones.”
