Alyssa + Mitch
Alyssa and Mitch met when they worked at Culver’s together. Alyssa said she would, “just complain to him everyday.” Which like, relatable. We all love to have that work bestie that makes our long days more fun.
They both quickly realized they were much more to each other than coworkers and friends. They enjoyed roadtrips to Madison, WI to visit the zoo or Dave & Buster’s. They loved it just as much to chill at home with the cats. No matter what they were doing, they wanted to do it together.
“We act like best friends having a sleepover when they’re 12. We fake fight each other, watch cartoons, gossip, and bake together.” – Alyssa
The Proposal
Alyssa was excited to get her nails done with Mitch’s sister, in preparation for a date night later that evening with Mitch. Little did she know, Mitch had been planning for months, pulling in his family to help create the perfect proposal.
When she got back from her nail appointment, the house was transformed—candles flickering, white roses everywhere, and a path of rose petals leading straight to Mitch. Standing there, surrounded by twinkling lights, he waited next to a glowing sign that read Marry Me. A moment they’ll never forget. Simple, sweet, and straight out of a rom-com—just the way it should be.
Alyssa + Mitch’s Cuddly Engagement Session in Dubuque, Iowa
For their first photo location, we took a stroll through the historic district in downtown Dubuque. For the second location, we headed to the Mines of Spain. Golden hour did not disappoint, and gave us the PRETTIEST glowy light.
