Wade proposed to Maci in a cabana on the beach in Punta Cana. So yeah, I’m 100% sure that scene was just as romantic and beautiful as you’re picturing it as. Definitely the perfect start to their engagement. π
On a normal everyday basis though, you’re much more likely to find these two at a country music concert or hiking on their land with their dogs.
They credit Busch Light for bringing them together (πthat very last photo), and after 5 1/2 years, they will be tying the knot this weekend!
Maci + Wade’s Bellevue, Iowa Countryside Engagement Session
We shot Maci & Wade’s engagement photos on their land, which is SO GORGEOUS! I could have definitely spent like 4 hours taking photos of them there, buuutttt it was about 40 degrees with freezing cold wind gusts on that lovely November day. So as you’re scrolling through below thinking, “damn, they look good!” Yeah, they look that good, while freezing their butts off. They both deserve some major street cred for that.

I knew I wanted to spend forever with my love when…
Maci: “After he stayed home and took care of me for a whole week straight when I was very sick with the flu.”
Wade: “When I would make excuses for hanging out with my friends or other obligations because I wanted to hang out with Maci instead.”
What is something you both have in common?
Maci: “We love the outdoors, and enjoying the simple things in life.”
Wade: “We both love the outdoors and adventures.”
What is something that’s totally different about the two of you?
Maci: “Wade is a go-getter, always has to have a plan, very energetic most of the time, and I am very laid back, would almost always prefer not to have a set schedule”
Wade: “Our patience levels.”
What part of the wedding are you looking forward to most?
Maci: “Looking forward to after the ceremony so we can let loose and enjoy time with our family and friends.”
Wade: “The reception.”
