The Proposal
Emily & Brad gathered with family & friends to celebrate Brad graduating with his Masters earlier that day. They decided to get everyone together at Mac’s Tavern, in Davenport. It was the place where they had their first date. Their number one favorite spot for dinner & a drink during college. It was a natural fit for Brad’s big night. Little did Emily know, he had been planning this dinner for some time… *hint* it was not just to celebrate his graduation.
Brad stood up and started to thank everyone for coming, and for the support they had shown. As he got to Emily he got down on one knee and popped the question. Emily described the proposal as, “Perfect in every way possible.”
Planning the Engagement Session
During planning for their engagement session, Emily had said she wanted the pictures to be relaxed and capture her & Brad’s love, while having fun at the same time. Yes! Music to my ears, that really sums up how I’d like every engagement session to be. Since the two of them also love all things ice cream, we decided starting their session at an ice cream parlor would be super fun. These two happened to know just the spot, Ice Cream U Scream, located right on Main Street in Dubuque. We ended their session with some gorgeous golden light at the Mines of Spain. So, yeah, it was pretty perfect. Make sure to scroll down to read more about their love story!
