When Courtney (the mom to these 2 cuties) found out about Candid Contrast Photography she immediately asked if I did home visits. My answer was, “of course”. She explained that it can be hard to take her 4 year old son Devon to a studio for portraits because of his autism. It was exciting, because I felt like on-location, lifestyle photography would be a perfect fit for this family; and that’s what I love to do.
I already knew Devon a little bit because he is in preschool with my daughter, Alexandria. I was really excited to get to know him better and meet his little sister Emma, who is 2.
When I got to their home Devon was doing laps around the house, with his uncle Cody in tow. Devon definitely kept me on my toes, and he was so cute! He loved being chased around the house and would laugh and smile the whole time. He also loved playing in his sand box, where I captured some calm moments.
His little sister Emma was so sweet! She was always concerned with where her big brother was and what he was doing, so cute! She was full of personality, with tons of things to tell me.
Overall, this was just an amazing photo shoot. I’m so glad I got to know this family a little bit, and I hope I’ll get to work with them again!
